Facebook Revolution – what happened to www.?
One major thing I have noticed here lately is missing websites. There is still a web presence but it has morphed into a Facebook Fan Page. The first advantage is instant feedback. Ritz Crackers is the first one I noticed to advertise the Facebook Fan page versus the traditional website. How likely is someone to click the “Like” button? 565,128 people have clicked the “Like” button.
Pepsi has place there facebook page in their commercials instead of www.pepsi.com.
Advance Auto Parts only has a Facebook and Twitter Logo at the end of their commercial – no website!
Facebook News streams are not only posting what friends are doing in their spare time, but now companies can focus on their target audience with pin point precision. Let’s face it, when someone likes you they are going to read what you have to say. Contests, creative writing and valuable information is now appearing before a captive audience. Marketing has never been easier – post and track campaigns all on one platform – Facebook.
A Revolution has begun and it is Social Media. A business must take advantage of social media and use the leverage it contains to help advertise.
Dream Big!
